Summary#
영상·오디오 임베딩을 최종 상태에 복사한 뒤에도 지역 참조가 남아 있으면, 뒤따르는 transformer 블록 실행 중 불필요한 메모리가 유지된다. 값의 사용이 끝나는 지점을 확인해 참조를 해제하면 계산이나 출력 형식을 바꾸지 않고도 메모리 점유를 줄일 수 있다.
Problem#
MiniMax H3가 패킹된 hidden state를 만든 후에도 투영 임베딩과 임시 행을 transformer 블록 실행 시점까지 보유함.
Solution#
복사가 완료된 임시 객체의 지역 참조를 블록 진입 전에 해제하고, 계산·레이아웃·인터페이스·출력 타입은 유지한다.
Failure Modes#
- 복사가 끝나기 전에 참조를 해제함
- 메모리 최적화와 함께 계산 경로나 출력 계약을 변경해 회귀를 일으킴
