서로 다른 동작을 묶은 설정 플래그 분리하기

한 플래그가 기능 표시 여부와 네트워크 보안 정책을 동시에 바꾸면, 사용자는 이름에 드러나지 않은 부작용을 겪는다. 각 동작에 맞는 독립적인 플래그를 제공하고 기존 플래그는 사용자를 고려해 단계적으로 폐기하는 편이 명확하다.

Summary#

Problem#

--disable-api-nodes가 파트너 노드 로딩을 건너뛰는 동시에 프런트엔드의 모든 외부 요청을 차단하는 CSP를 설정해, 노드만 숨기려는 사용자에게도 Nodes Manager가 비어 보이는 문제가 발생함.

Solution#

--disable-partner-nodes와 --offline으로 의도를 분리하고 기존 --disable-api-nodes를 폐기 대상으로 지정한다.

Failure Modes#

  • 기존 플래그의 숨은 보안 효과를 새 플래그로 옮기면서도 이름이나 문서에 명시하지 않음
  • 폐기 과정에서 기존 사용자에게 필요한 호환성 안내를 제공하지 않음
